In the Philippines, the holidays come with a familiar ritual. Friends compare sticker counts, plan coffee runs together, and keep an eye on the prize at the end of it all: a piece from the annual Starbucks Traditions collection. That ritual returns on November 3, and this year it arrives with a theme that suits it perfectly.
Starbucks Philippines is marking the 24th year of Starbucks Traditions with “Wrapped in Joy.” The 2027 Starbucks Traditions Collection, as the new lineup is called, grows to five pieces this year, up from four last year. Each one is designed to look like a gift waiting to be unwrapped, in warm copper, ivory, and black, with swirling patterns and woven textures.
A Film for the Friend Who Plans Everything
The theme gets its story in a new holiday film called “Kami Naman,” which translates to “It is our turn.” It follows Mara, the friend who always brings her barkada, her circle of friends, together by planning every get-together. She starts the group chat, finds the place, checks everyone’s availability, and sends the follow-up when nobody replies.
This time, her friends turn the tables. They surprise her at Starbucks with a planner already filled with gatherings they have organized for her throughout the year. It is a small twist with a warm payoff, and it lands because most friend groups have a Mara.
The film is set to “With a Smile” by Eraserheads, a song that carries a lot of nostalgia in the Philippines. Starbucks stores across the country will play it from November 3 to January 4, and the full film is available on Starbucks Philippines social channels.
Five Pieces, Two Newcomers
The collection itself mixes returning favorites with two pieces that are new this year. The Siren Planner with Pouch is back, with zodiac-inspired artwork for each month, weekly pages, a pen, a copper pouch, and a surprise keychain in one of five designs. You do not know which one you will get until you open it, which is half the fun for collectors.
New this year is the Travel Case with Towel, an ivory hard case with a ridged, luggage-inspired finish. The other newcomer is the 20oz Glass Mug, which fades from black to transparent and comes with a straw.
Rounding out the five are the 20oz Stainless Steel Tumbler, wrapped in swirling copper waves on ivory with a flip-top straw and a carry handle, and the 24oz Cold Cup, filled with sparkling champagne glitter and finished with a sleek black lid and a coffee cherry leaves straw topper.
How the Stickers Work
Collecting works the way longtime fans will remember. From November 3, 2026 to January 4, 2027, every Tall, Grande, or Venti handcrafted beverage earns one e-sticker, collected through the Starbucks PH App or a QR Promo Card. Collect 19 e-stickers and you can redeem one piece of your choice from the collection, with redemption open until March 5, 2027.
That is a lot of coffee runs, and that is rather the point. Starbucks Traditions has been running in the Philippines since 2004, and over 24 years it has become a holiday tradition of its own. The planner that carries someone through the year ahead starts with afternoons spent catching up over a drink, and the best part of the collection has always been the company kept while earning it.
If you are already deciding which piece to aim for, the full collection is shown at starbuckstraditions.ph. And if you know a Mara, this might be the year to let her pick the planner and let someone else plan the coffee run.
